Memorial Day – All profits benefit Warrior Hike foundation

This Memorial Day, help us help our military veterans. We will donate 100% of all profits on Monday, May 25th, to benefit the Warrior Hike organization which helps veterans returning from war readjust to being home.

In 1948, Earl Schaffer became the first person to walk the entire Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine, a distance of over 2000 miles. Returning from World War II, he confided in a friend that he intended to “walk off the war”. His four month journey helped him decompress from what he had seen and process the trauma he had endured.

The Warrior Hike organization was started in 2012 with the purpose of helping returning combat veterans readjust to the world by realizing the therapeutic benefits of hiking all or parts of our National Scenic Trails. Donations are used to provide supplies, equipment, transportation and more in support of their hike.

Please join us on Monday or help a veteran by donating directly at Warrior Hike
